The Spool

Wrapped around in silk
Or light
Or woven love
A spool
Is a beautiful thing
I’m certain that my love for you
In all its unraveling adoration
Could be wrapped around a tiny spool
Then you could keep it in your pocket
Or tie some of it around your finger
To remind you that I love you
And I do
Yes
A spool is a beautiful thing
It’s a tiny symbol of love!

I am enjoying discovering your poetry. Since you asked for comments....I think the poem stands by itself very well and could end "...To remind you that I love you"

or even, "Then you could keep it in your pocket
Or tie it around your finger..."
(and now take it somewhere...what is that unraveled adoration like?)

thanks for writing!!!
